At least 2 killed in Iran during wedding ceremony in US strikes

ALBAWABA – Hormozgan Governor’s Deputy said on Tuesday that at least two were killed and several others were injured in a U.S. attack on a wedding ceremony in Sirik city, southern Iran.

Iranian Red Crescent in Hormozgan Province confirmed that two were killed and 20 others were injured in a U.S. airstrike that targeted a wedding ceremony in a village in Sirik city.

Earlier, Iran’s state television announced that casualties were reported among those attending a wedding ceremony after a U.S. strike in the country’s south.

“A number of residents were wounded in the attack while attending a wedding ceremony,” Iran’s state TV revealed on Tuesday.

It noted that the U.S. Forces’ latest attack struck a “residential area” in Bandar Kuhestak in Sirik county.

In addition, Iranian TV said that a new explosion was heard in the city of Chabahar in Sistan and Baluchestan Province in the southeast of the country.

Nonetheless, Tasnim news agency revealed today that the Iranian Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) shot down an American MQ-9 drone over Khomein city.

Iran has begun firing missiles and drones in response to U.S. strikes, according to the Fars and Tasnim news agencies.

This followed the U.S. military strikes against Tehran on Tuesday after it said Tehran tried to attack commercial ships and American forces in the region.
